Restaurante El Árbol Blanco – Restaurant Review

If you are looking for a wonderful dining experience, then you are in for a treat at Restaurante El Árbol Blanco (The White Tree).   El Arbol Blanco offers you a cozy atmosphere, along with excellent service and delicious food.    The restaurants are owned and run by 2 brothers, Nacho (Manager and head waiter) and Jorge (The main chef).   Each time we have visited, we enjoyed a scrumptious multiple-course menu, which tantalized our taste buds.

The town location has an intimate and cozy indoor setting, as well as outdoor patio dining.  If course as the name implies, you will find a big white tree in the center, running from the ground floor clear up to the top.

In spring 2015, they opened their beachfront location.  Here you may dine outdoors next to the sea.  It is the perfect location for that special occasion.  It is recommended to make reservations during the peak summer months, as it is a very popular location.

If you are having trouble finding a good restaurant with decent customer service in Spain, look no further.  The wait staff attends to your every need and doesn’t miss a beat.  It was very refreshing to find this place and have the wait staff look after us so well.  We have visited several times and it is consistently wonderful.

Let’s Talk Food!

You will always find wonderful options with their Menu del Día (Menu of the day).  These are typically 3 courses for around 10€ – 15€.  Typically including your starter, main course and a dessert.  The standard menu prices are very reasonable and offer you a variety of options from seafood, steaks, pork, chicken, lamb and oxtail.  Everything is made with that extra touch of care and it all comes out in the flavors of the food.  View the menu here

Here are a few things to give you an idea of some starters and main courses.

Restaurante El Arbol Blanco Meals and Starters

One of the favorites is the pork or chicken in mushroom sauce.  Oh it just makes my mouth water thinking about it.  A moist and tender chicken breast topped with a creamy mushroom sauce made to perfection.  We have enjoyed the steaks, soups and pork in the past as well.  Many people rave about the oxtail and lamb, so you have many things to choose from.

Save room for dessert!

If you don’t order the menu of the day, be sure to take a look at the dessert menu and be ready for some rich goodness.  Of course we are chocolate fans, but they do have some more traditional Spanish options as well.

Restaurante El Árbol Blanco Desserts

Overall this is one of our favorites in Almuñécar, so make a point to stop by and give it a try.  On the cost scale it is likely a $$ price range, with many main courses ranging from 9-15€.  Of course there are a few exceptions higher and lower, but your best value is the Menu del Día.  This is our go to place when people are visiting from out-of-town and for special occasions as well.
