The market’s real name is “Almuñécar Mercadillo Los Viernes”, The Friday Market or to some Almunecar Friday markt. The entrance right in the heart of the town at the Arc de Triomphe Puerta de Almuñécar (Blas Infantes Arches), this is also the main fairgrounds in the month of August. It lies between the main road (N-340) and the one and only “McDonald’s”.

Live like a local and get your daily shopping done at the Almuñécar Municipal Market. The new municipal market holds approximately 200 underground parking places, 40 market stalls (20 fish stalls, 10 greengrocer stalls, 6 butcher/delicatessen stalls, 4 stalls for other products for sale).

When visiting Almuñécar, it is almost impossible not to notice the Blas Infante Arches (Puerta de Almuñécar). As you pass by on the N340, you will see the Blas Infante Arches stand out amidst all of the tall trees. This is a great meeting point in town, as it is easy to find.

There are also several specialty markets or small stores where you will be able to find imported or international products. A few of these are open for limited hours on Sundays.
