La Herradura and Almuñécar Supermarkets, Grocery Stores & More
There are a few main large supermarkets and then many smaller markets, some are even open on Sundays!

It is so convenient to shop local, not to mention you are supporting the community. There are shops tucked away all over town, including clothing, jewelry, sporting goods, electric shops with appliances, small hardware stores, linens, furniture, shoes and more. Off of Avd. Andalucia you will find the shoe stores, lamps and furniture (small) and banks.
Old town is so much fun, while meandering the pedestrian streets, you will find many shops to meet your needs. Including clothing, jewelry, sporting goods, paper goods, electric shops with appliances, small hardware stores, linens, home furnishings, furniture, shoes, car dealers, and more.
Off of the main streets in town (Avenida Andalucia, Avenida Juan Carlos, Avenida Costa del Sol, Calle Mariana Pineda, Avenida Europa, P4 area, and more) you will find the shoe stores, lamps and furniture stores and banks.
La Herradura Shopping
It is great to do some shopping in La Herradura, you can really find some great things. It is well worth popping into each little supermarket to see what they have, as several carry international products. Of course you will find stores sprinkled all over town, but mostly along the main streets and in the central area surround Plaza de la Independencia, (Paseo Andrés Segovia, Av. Prieto Moreno, Calle Alhambra, Calle Canalejas, Calle Acera del Pilar and more), as well as many little side streets. Get out and just walk around and explore!

Shopping in Motril
Just 19 km to the east of Almuñécar is Motril! Just off of any of these highways A7/ N340 / E15, you will find even more shopping options. It is nice to combine a little shopping with your trip to the Motril Foreigner’s Office. Many of the shops are within a 10-minute walk and it makes for a great day out.
There are 2 main shopping areas in Motril (Centro Comercial in Motril). While these are not shopping malls, they are areas with a high concentration of stores, shops, places to eat and more. Read more about Shopping in Motril.
Shopping in Granada
For a complete shopping experience, sometimes you need to visit a big city. We will describe how to get to the new Nevada shopping Granada from Almuñécar. The Nevada shopping center (Centro Comercial Nevada])is located in Granada and is on the southeast side of the city, so that means easy access from Costa Tropical. With approximately 120,000 square meters of commercial area, and with 200+ stores, numerous restaurants, and an 8-cinema cineplex, there is plenty to see, do, and eat.

Shopping in Velez-Málaga
25 km to the West of Almunecar off of the A7, You will find the shopping center El Ingenio Centro Comercial, with stores like Eroski, Dunnes, a Cinema, various shops and more. Eroski is a Tesco/Wal-Mart type of store. With electronics, appliances, linens, limited furniture, clothing and food.
