The market’s real name is “Almuñécar Mercadillo Los Viernes”, The Friday Market or to some Almunecar Friday markt. The entrance right in the heart of the town at the Arc de Triomphe Puerta de Almuñécar (Blas Infantes Arches), this is also the main fairgrounds in the month of August. There are several main Almuñécar Supermarkets or Grocery Stores in the area, including La Herradura, Motril and Vélez-Málaga . There are also several specialty markets or small stores where you will be able to find imported or international products. A few of these are open for limited hours on Sundays. When visiting Almuñécar, it is almost impossible not to notice the Blas Infante Arches (Puerta de Almuñécar). As you pass by on the N340, you will see the Blas Infante Arches stand out amidst all of the tall trees. This is a great meeting point in town, as it is easy to find.
