Roman Aqueduct

See one of the best preserved and largest Roman aqueducts around Almuñécar, just outside of town along the River Seco.  This is located in El Torreon Restaurante near the Santa Cruz Resort and Spa.  Just a minutes walk away from to Bodega Vinacoteca La Princesa in la Finca La Santa Cruz to the Aqueduct.   The aqueduct is in great condition and if you have little ones, and serves as an outdoor concert venue in the summer.   You will also enjoy amazing views of the nearby chirimoya farms and see a few olive trees as well.  This would be a self-guided walk, but a perfect activity to do before or after your wine tasting.

Wine Tasting

You will then return to their bodega and enjoy a tasting of fine wines.  (The tasting consists of 1 glass of white wine and 3 reds from different regions of Spain.

The wine tasting will be paired with samples of Spanish jamon, cheese and extra virgin olive oil.  We had a great time meeting some locals and tasting the wine.  Of course we walked out purchasing a few bottles as well, because we liked it so much.

What does the wine tasting cost?

The price is  10€ per person, for groups of more than 15 people.  They work with local tour operators or schedule your own group.

Please contact them to schedule your wine tasting and tour today!
