Tropico Express Tourist Train Almuñécar

Trópico Express Tourist Train

The Trópico Express Train takes you on a tour along the beaches and paseos of Almuñécar.  You will see it each night in the summer and hear them ding the bells, as they drive past.  Wave to the people on the train and have some fun or even better go for a ride yourself.

Tren Turistico Almuñecar Prices

Typically July & August (sometimes last 2 weeks of June and first 2 weeks of September)

Precio / Price is Adults:  5€ and Kids:  4€

Route:  Starting at Paseo del Altillo, heading west towards San Cristobal Beach.  Making stops at Hotel Helios and Chinasol.  Then it turns around at that roundabout and goes back east along the beach to Calle Guadix. The train makes its way through the center of town, past the central bus station, down Avenida Juan Carlos I.  It continues to the beach of Puerta del Mar and turns left at the Octopus roundabout.

The tourist train continues to follow the beach around past Aquatropic and most of the way down Velilla Beach.  It turns around and comes back just before Tesorillo Beach.  It then makes its way back along the beach to the town center and back along the Paseo del Altillo.  There are buttons along each section of seats for you to push if you would like the train to stop and let you off.  I believe you may save your ticket and hop on again the same night.
