Tropico Express Tourist Train
The Tropico Express Train takes you on a tour along the beaches and paseos of Almuñécar.
The hours of operation are limited to the evenings and usually during high season (July/Aug). The sign post has the following times as your guide for the stop on the Paseo del Altillo, near the tourist information: 18:45, 19:45, 20:45, 21:45, 22:45. Using this as a guide, it is about 60 minutes to ride the full loop.
The first stop is at the bus stop along the Paseo del Altillo near the tourist information center. You can likely flag the train down on the path to board, but there are certain areas where it stops. On San Cristóbal Beach near Helios Hotel or Chinasol Apartments, (sometimes Cotobro) , City Center, Paseo Puerta del Mar, Paseo de Velilla.

Route: Starting at Paseo del Altillo, heading west towards San Cristobal Beach. Making stops at Hotel Helios and Chinasol. Then it turns around at that roundabout and goes back east along the beach to Calle Guadix. The train makes its way through the center of town, past the central bus station, down Avenida Juan Carlos I. It continues to the beach of Puerta del Mar and turns left at the Octopus roundabout.
The tourist train continues to follow the beach around past Aquatropic and most of the way down Velilla Beach. It turns around and comes back just before Tesorillo Beach. It then makes its way back along the beach to the town center and back along the Paseo del Altillo. There are buttons along each section of seats for you to push if you would like the train to stop and let you off. I believe you may save your ticket and hop on again the same night.
