How do you say the name?

In the Spanish language, the accents guide you on how to pronounce the word.

ñ – A completely separate letter from “n”, this letter sounds like the “ni” in onion or the “ny” in canyon.  Here is a guide to the pronunciation of each letter in the Spanish alphabet, within that link, you may scroll to the “ñ” to hear the sound pronounced.

So, Salobreña has the ñ in the last syllable.  When you get to the  ñ, ust as you would pronounce the “ny” in the word canyon.

Salobreña is located in the heart of the Costa Tropical of Granada, between Motril and Almuñecar.   The Costa Tropical produces all kinds of tropical fruit, is full of lovely mountains, valleys and beautiful beaches.

Fiestas de La Candelaria is celebrated in the small village of Lobres, part of the municipality of Salobreña. This Romería is celebrated the weekend closest to February 2.
