We want to share with you some of the things to do in Motril you can do as a day trip or combine with your trip to the Foreigner’s office.
Take a day trip to Vélez de Benaudalla from Almuñécar and the Costa Tropical. Discover an amazing canyon, nature walks, a castle, a Nasrid garden, & a dam! It is the perfect place to get out and explore beyond Almuñécar for the day! There are neat little hidden gems to see and we’ve created a route for you to follow. You just choose what is of interest to you and stop along the way.
This is a good 1/2 day activity from Almuñécar and you are in for a sweet treat, all about sugar in Spanish. Just a little to the east within Costa Tropical, you can experience the sugarcane past of Motril. You will experience an old Spanish sugar mill, take a tour of a rum distillery and taste some Spanish rum. Let’s talk sugar (Azucar).
