How about some flamenco in Almuñécar & La Herradura for that authentic Spanish experience? If you are just visiting the area or perhaps you live here and have guest coming to stay, either way you should make some time for drinks, tapas and a flamenco show. We will share some of our favorite flamenco shows in town, which should have that local flair you are looking for.
Each January you can enjoy the Almuñécar Cabalgata de Reyes. It will be held at 5pm on January 5th, in celebration of the Three Kings (Three Wise Men). Below we provide you details of the parade route as well as a map showing you with landmarks around town to guide you.
The Archaeological Museum Cueva de Siete Palacios, also known as the Cave of 7 Palaces. It represents the largest section of the former Roman Palace. The museum is located in what was once the basement of this Roman Palace. Inside, there are remains of the historic past of Almuñécar. Including remains found at the necropolis of Puente de Noy, Laurita, and the fish salting factory of El Majuelo.
When it comes to learning Spanish, we think it is helpful to at least have your basic manners and counting under your belt before you arrive. There are very few locals in town who speak English fluently, so do your best to speak the local language when you can. Once you arrive, there will be local options for Spanish language classes, but the options below can be done before or after you arrive.
Here are the tools we have used and recommend. Everyone has a different learning style, so that is why we are recommending a variety. Learning Spanish can be fun at any age.

The restaurants are owned and run by 2 brothers, Nacho (Manager and head waiter) and Jorge (The main chef). Each time we have visited, we enjoyed a scrumptious multiple-course menu, which tantalized our taste buds.
