While the Almuñécar Halloween, and generally in Spain, isn’t a big tradition for trick or treat and costumes, there are a few fun things going on. It tends to be more of the zombies and scary events, but there are some for the little kids too. We have included Halloween activities for La Herradura, and Almuñécar, Maro, Motril, Salobreña, Malaga, Velez-Malaga, and Granda. Use the table of contents to quickly jump to the section you are interested in. There are many haunted houses to visit (Passage of Terror), try to visit them all.

Día de Todos los Santos – All Saints Day

All Saints’ Day is part of the three-day Allhallowtide, honoring the saints and praying for the recently departed souls who haven’t yet reached heaven.

All Souls’ Day on 2 November commemorates the faithful departed – the souls of all good who have passed.

On October 31st, starting at 17:00, an afternoon and evening of family fun and terror.

It is time for the Maroween (Maro + Halloween) festival! Do you have your costume yet? Don’t miss the most terrifying party in Malaga, on October 31 in Maro.
Hundreds of people gather in the town square to taste the traditional chestnuts and roasted sweet potatoes.
To liven up the party of Maroween, a passage of terror (Haunted house) and festival with a costume contest and lots of fun is also celebrated. Maro’s square and streets are adorned with pumpkins, candles, and a lot of terror.
It is a party in which local and foreign customs merge. Maro is located between La Herradura and Nerja.
