Festival del Mar - Festival of the Sea 2023

The motto for the 8th annual Festival del Mar is “Un mar de esperanza” (A Sea of Hope).

This is because La Herradura is a seaside village, with a close link to the sea.  We have an important seabed in Spain, as well as all of the resources offered by the sea.  It is essential for us to live, and provide jobs, tourism, and food.  For these reasons, we not only have to raise awareness in the community but also fight and combat illegal spills and damage to the sea.  Let’s not forget that the sea does not need us, quite the opposite.  It would be much better without our presence, which negatively affects the marine environment.  Let’s try, to do our best to counteract this impact.
