Escape to a slightly bigger city and experience a day trip from Almuñécar with many things to do in Motril Spain. Motril is the second largest city in the Granada Province, with a population of more than 60,000. Yes, this isn’t a big city by most standards, but it is the biggest on the Costa Tropical. Many of us know it as the place to take care of our paperwork as foreigners, but there is so much more to the city. We want to share with you some of the things to do in Motril you can do as a day trip or combine with your trip to the Foreigner’s office.
If you are looking for a shopping fix in the bigger stores, shopping in Motril may be just what you need. Of course you could also go hit the bigger malls in Vélez-Málaga, the Nevada shopping mall in Granada or Larios shopping mall in Málaga. If you are looking for something a bit closer to Almuñécar then Motril should do the trick.
For a complete shopping experience, sometimes you need to visit a big city. We will describe how to get to the new Centro Comercial Nevada shopping Granada from Almuñécar. The Nevada shopping center [Centro Comercial Nevada] is located in Granada and is on the southeast side of the city, so that means easy access from Costa Tropical. With approximately 120,000 square meters of commercial area, and with 200+ stores, numerous restaurants, and an 8-cinema cineplex, there is plenty to see, do, and eat.
As much as we all love Almuñécar, it is nice to get out and explore a bit. It’s very easy to take a day trip to Granada from Almuñécar, or you can even plan a few days away. Of course everything we have to share is also a perfect day trip from Malaga too. There is so much to see and do, and it’s always fun to just roam around and soak up the city. Are you getting cabin fever staying in the small coastal city of Almuñécar? Are you dreaming of a day out at a big and modern shopping mall? Well, let us share with you how to get to Larios Mall, Vialia Mall, IKEA Malaga, Plaza Mayor, from Almuñécar to Málaga and back. We provide you with instructions via the public bus, in addition to directions for driving a car.
This is a good 1/2 day activity from Almuñécar and you are in for a sweet treat, all about sugar in Spanish. Just a little to the east within Costa Tropical, you can experience the sugarcane past of Motril.
