This year the party locations are at El Majuelo Park in Almuñécar and at the Plaza del Centro Civicoor Plaza de la Independencia in La Herradura. Keep on reading for detailed events and locations.
The holiday season is upon us and there is so much going on! It is magical to experience (Navidad) Christmas in Almuñécar, La Herradura & the surrounding areas. We also know it can be difficult to find out when and where things are happening, so we compile the information and keep it here for you! This is a listing of the local Festivals of Almuñécar. Many more are celebrated and you will need to check with the tourist office for a listing of activities.
At the beginning of December each year we can look forward to the Fiestas de Otívar, in honor of the Inmaculada Concepción (Immaculate Conception)! This beautiful pueblo blanco is perched in the hills about 20 minutes outside of Almuñécar. The village comes alive for a few days and nights, with events, music, lights, food and fun.
New traditions begin, and you are here to be part of it! Announcing the annual Almuñécar Autumn Jazz Festival (Festival de Jazz en Otoño de Almuñécar). We will share all the details about the location, artists, and where to purchase your tickets with you.
At the end of September, we are always in for a treat with the Fiestas de San Miguel, in the barrio del Castillo Almuñécar! Up high on the hill in the old town, near the castle, the streets come alive for a few days and nights.
Celebrate the sea, learn about the environment, socialize, share experiences, enjoy activities, eat food, and have fun at the Festival del Mar (Festival of the sea) in La Herradura!
Each summer we have the opportunity to experience some amazing outdoor events in Almuñecar. With 2 Almuñecar Summer Concert & event venues, providing just the right ambiance. Spend the evening under the stars near the Roman Aqueduct and at El Majuelo Park below San Miguel Castle!
